About the Agency
Jamey's Story
Clearwater Valley, Through and Through
Jamey grew up just outside of Cavendish, Idaho. Her grandfather was a brand inspector and the family raised quarter horses, so a corral, a saddle, and a long drive on a back road were normal parts of growing up — not novelty.
She rodeoed competitively, mostly team roping and breakaway, and ran a circuit. Originally she set out to become an ag teacher, then was pulled toward crop insurance and the chance to work directly with the farmers and ranchers she'd grown up around.
That path eventually brought her to Idaho Farm Bureau Insurance, which was founded by Idaho farmers and ranchers in the late 1940s — the rural advocacy roots are still part of how the company operates today. Jamey joined as an agent in 2024 and was named the Idaho Farm Bureau Federation's 2025 Agent Rookie of the Year, along with recognition as a Top Developing Agent.
The agency is now run as a family operation. Jamey works alongside her daughters Kadey and Dori, and the office at 152 South A Street in Orofino has become the kind of place where neighbors stop in to ask a question or just say hello.

Why Farm Bureau, in Jamey's Voice

Our People
The Family Team
Jamey Hix
Lead Agent & Owner
Lifelong Clearwater Valley resident. Jamey grew up rodeoing and raising quarter horses, started in agriculture, and joined Idaho Farm Bureau Insurance in 2024. She was named the Idaho Farm Bureau Federation 2025 Agent Rookie of the Year and a Top Developing Agent. What she enjoys most about the job is sitting down with farmers, ranchers, loggers, and families instead of hiding behind a phone or a screen.
Kadey Hix
Agency Team
Jamey's daughter and part of the family agency team. Kadey helps clients with day-to-day service, policy questions, and keeping the office moving — bringing the same down-to-earth attention to detail her mom is known for.
Dori Hix
Agency Team
Jamey's daughter and the third member of the family team. Dori works alongside her mom and sister to make sure every client interaction feels personal — not transactional.
Recognition
2025 Rookie of the Year
Jamey was named the Idaho Farm Bureau Federation's 2025 Agent Rookie of the Year and recognized as a Top Developing Agent — awards that go to agents who built strong relationships with their clients and grew their book on the strength of those relationships, not gimmicks.
Giving Back
Rooted in the Clearwater Valley
Insurance is one part of how the agency serves the community — but it isn't the whole story. Jamey, Kadey, and Dori show up for local efforts year after year: holiday food drives, the Kamiah Food Bank, and the kind of small-town support that doesn't land on a spreadsheet.
The agency is also a member of the Clearwater County Chamber of Commerce and stays involved in the community well beyond office hours — because this is home, not a territory.
